What a carnival of cultural stereotype...Ay carumba! What a carnival of cultural stereotypes!

For future reference, here is the recipe for the "Mexican Mountie":

1 measure Agavero
2 measures Cointreau
1 measure dark rum (optional)
juice of 1/2 a lime
2 or 3 green cardamom pods
a decent squirt of maple syrup

Add all of the liquid ingredients to a shaker filled with cracked ice. Lightly crush the cardamom pods (just rough them up a little: no need to go overboard on the GBH, me old son) and add them to the shaker. Pour in the maple syrup, preferably the real stuff, unless you happen to be in a flat that's too stingy to buy it. Shake, and strain into a martini glass - rimming sugar (fner, fner!) optional.

Share with your friends, discuss whether it needs more or less of certain ingredients, and try again with the adjusted proportions. Repeat until you have the perfect combination of smoothness, sweetness, tartness and smokiness; or until you get completely Viv-faced, whichever comes firstTomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06580094508709911689noreply@blogger.com
