[General] On Report

Jerry Collins will go on report after his blatant spear tackle on the Queen at Buckingham Palace. This photo (right) shows the moments before the incident.

"I don't know what happened really" said Collins. "I saw her coming towards me and my brain, which is already in test mode, saw her outstretched hand as a fend"

Collins contends that the tackle was accidental and that he had just meant to get the monarch "off her feet in order to ruck the ball loose". His case will come before the judiciary after this weekends match against the English as it occured midweek and was not in a test situation.

Queen Elizabeth II was unhurt in the tackle but will be replaced at fullback by Josh Lewsey just in case.

The rest of the All Black's visit to the palace went relatively smoothly. Though hooker Andrew Hore was disappointed that the Queen's iconic corgis were not present, as he looked forward to killing one like a seal.
